today
just like any other
began

well slightly differently
with a few 8 am phone calls
i answered the 3rd call
to my amusement
it was an old friend
in la for the morning
wanting to go to breakfast

8am for me is hell
i hate being up before noon
to be frank
and true

but this estranged pal
i missed so much
and had almost forgotten
at the same time
do you know?

i was happy to hear from
and made arrangements
pick me up at the loft
in an hour
we'll do breakfast
catch up
few hours
then back on the road

agreed
it was awesome
to see them again
to reminisce (sp?)
catch up
moving to lala soon
excitement

then a lost friend
equally to my lost
but different manifestations
asked for some help
learning to drive
in this hell-a city
of traffic, assholes, etc.

i agreed.
we challenged ourselves.
she on the road.
me later with the trainer.
hardcore style.
wow!

pushed this former fatty
to heights i'd only imagined
only more to come
power on!
